Ramadan Day 1: Setting Intentions for a Transformative Month

Day 1: The Journey Begins! 🌙

Ramadan is HERE! Day 1 sets the tone — start with sincere intentions and clear goals.

The problem: Drifting through Ramadan without direction.

The solution: Day 1 intentions + written goals = transformative month!

Set Your Intentions (Niyyah)

Intend:
1. Fast all 30 days (make intention nightly!)
2. Pray all 5 prayers on time
3. Read Quran daily (set a target!)
4. Give charity regularly
5. Improve one bad habit

The Prophet ﷺ said: “Actions are by intentions…” (Bukhari).
Your intention determines your reward!

Write Your Ramadan Goals

Be specific:
– ❌ “Read more Quran”
– ✅ “Complete 1 Juz daily (30 Juz total)”

Example goals:
– [ ] Fast all 30 days
– [ ] Pray Taraweeh 20+ nights
– [ ] Complete Quran once
– [ ] Give $___ in charity
– [ ] Memorize ___ verses
– [ ] Quit ___ bad habit

Post them where you’ll see daily!

Day 1 Checklist

  • [ ] Suhoor (with intention to fast)
  • [ ] Fajr on time
  • [ ] Read 1 Juz (or your target)
  • [ ] Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, Isha
  • [ ] Iftar (dates + dua!)
  • [ ] Taraweeh (8 or 20)
  • [ ] Dua before sleeping

The Day 1 Dua

“O Allah, make this Ramadan the one that changes me. Accept my fasting, prayers, and good deeds. Forgive my sins. Write me among the freed from Hellfire.”

Motivation

Ramadan is:
– 30 days of mercy
– 1 night better than 1000 months (Laylatul Qadr!)
– Gates of Paradise open, Hell closed, devils chained!

Don’t waste it! Day 1 energy → Day 30 transformation.
