Ramadan Day 10: The First 10 Days — Mercy

Day 10: The Days of Mercy End 🌧️

“Ramadan’s first 10 days are mercy, middle 10 are forgiveness, last 10 are freedom from Hell” (Bayhaqi).

The problem: Letting the first 10 pass without seeking mercy.

The solution: Day 10 — INTENSIVE mercy-seeking!

What Is Rahmah (Mercy)?

Allah’s mercy:
– Encompasses all — “My mercy encompasses everything” (7:156)
– Greater than wrath — “My mercy prevails over My wrath” (Bukhari)
– 100 parts — 1 part on earth, 99 reserved! (Bukhari)

Your need: You NEED mercy — for sins, for struggles, for everything!

How to Seek Mercy (Day 10 Focus)

1. The Mercy Dua

“Rabbir-hamni” — “My Lord, have mercy on me.”
Simple. Powerful. Repeat it!

2. Show Mercy (to Get Mercy)

“The merciful will be shown mercy by the Merciful. Be merciful to those on earth, and the One above will have mercy on you” (Tirmidhi).

Today:
– Forgive someone
– Help someone
– Be kind to family

Give mercy → Get mercy!

3. Istighfar (Seeking Forgiveness)

100×: “Astaghfirullah wa atubu ilayh”
Mercy comes through repentance!

Reflect: First 10 Days

Ask:
– Did I seek Allah’s mercy? (Dua, repentance?)
– Did I show mercy? (Kindness, forgiveness?)
– Am I closer to Allah than Day 1?

If yes: Alhamdulillah! Keep going.
If no: Start NOW. It’s not too late!

Transition: Mercy → Forgiveness

Days 1-10: RAHMAH (mercy)
Days 11-20: MAGHFIRAH (forgiveness) ← NEXT!
Days 21-30: FREEDOM from Hell (and Laylatul Qadr!)

Prepare: The best is yet to come!
